PLEASE READ the following HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION and ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK carefully and share it with everyone in your group. It may affect your safety and the safety of others. For your reference, you will also receive a copy of this information in your confirmation email. Bookings are accepted on the understanding that Surfside Kayak Hire safety regulations are observed. You must follow the safety instructions of our staff.

Covid-19 safety measures have been put in place however, you acknowledge that some risk of catching the virus still remains. Furthermore, to ensure the safety of your instructors and others in the group, if you are experiencing Covid-19 symptoms please do not attend.

All activities involve some physical effort, which at times may be more than you are used to. If you have any medical conditions or injuries which may be affected by your activity you must inform your instructor or guide.

All precautions will be taken however some situations may become stressful for some people. If you or anyone in your group has an unusual aversion to water, you should let us, and your guide/instructor know. The ability to swim is not a requirement however you must inform your guide/instructor if you cannot.

Participation in adventurous activities such as kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding in a maritime environment entails some risk of injury. Surfside staff are trained and appropriately qualified to run our activity sessions and will at all times proceed in a manner to limit the risk and injury. However, participants accept that some inherent risks remain, and accidents and injury may still occur.

You accept that Surfside Kayak Hire is under no liability whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property.

Hire customers will take responsibility for their own actions. You must ensure that you are able to re-enter your kayak or stand up paddle board prior to departing the safe launch area. You must only paddle in the area advised to you on the day.

Hire customers must be aware of changing weather and sea conditions. You must only paddle within conditions that are suitable to your ability.

Photos: Pictures are sometimes taken for promotional purposes including social media. If you do not wish for your picture/pictures to appear on our social media or promotional material, please let us know.

This document does not release Surfside Kayak Hire from any of its obligations towards you, nor does it affect your legal rights. However, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the contents of this document and that you will share this information with the rest of your group.
