About Combe Martin

Combe Martin is surrounded by the most scenic countryside, with Exmoor National Park to the east and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to the west. The village is on the coast with the iconic South West Coast Path passing through the village. You can enjoy some of the best kayaking and walking country straight from your accommodation!

Our Beach

Combe Martin Bay has a shingle and sand beach when the tide is high, but at low tide there is a lovely sandy beach with lots of rockpools to investigate, making the area ideal for family holidays. There are spectacular views across the bay to dramatic headlands beyond. Combe Martin Bay offers a safe place for many activities and for all ages.

Acorns Guest House: The Acorns Guest house is situated in the heart of Combe Martin and offers 7 well-appointed bedrooms, some with sea views. The Victorian guest house is ideally located just 3 minutes from the beach and the south west coast path.

Horizon Holiday Cottage: a fabulous three-storey Victorian seafront home conveniently located on the South West Coastal Path, with Newberry Beach just a few steps from the front door. From the house you can enjoy uninterrupted views across the cove and sea.

Pack o’ Cards: Chris & Debbie would like to welcome you all to the “Pack o’ Cards” where they have lived and run the pub, restaurants and accommodation since 1997. Pack o’ Cards is a family friendly Inn situated within the beautiful seaside village of Combe Martin.

Saffron house Bed & Breakfast: Saffron House is set in an elevated position in south facing gardens with outdoor pool and decked area. The south west coastal path is on our doorstep and we are a short walk from the beach.

Sandaway Beach Holiday Park: Sandaway Beach Holiday Park stands on a cliff’s edge at the very edge of the ocean with breathtaking sea views. A stepped path leads you to Sandaway’s private ‘Mermaid’s Cove’ beach. The cove has a rocky foreshore and sprinkling of sand and is the perfect spot for fishing in rock pools!

Shack & Pantry: Retreat offering luxury glamping and a variety of laidback retreats & wellness experiences including Yoga & Surf Retreat weekends at their beautifully converted barn. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, providing a combination of coastal and rural views along with a delicious menu from the pantry to tickle most tastebuds.

The Castle Inn: A former coaching inn, The Castle Inn is a traditional local pub serving fine real ales along with guest beers and ciders. To the rear of the pub is our lovely sunny beer garden with views of the 12th century Parish Church.

There are some fantastic places to eat in the village, including:

The Dolphin Inn: Situated directly opposite the beach, The Dolphin Inn has some of the best views in the area. They offer a delicious selection of homemade meals and desserts, and a great wine list, a real treat for the foodies.

The Fo’c’s’le Inn: The Fo’c’s’le Inn is situated on the water’s edge. Their harbour lounge restaurant enjoys panoramic views of Combe Martin’s beach where you can savour an excellent meal from their extensive menu whilst watching the waves gentle lapping on the shore.

We couldn’t not mention the Harbour Deli who offer delicious home cooked food. The Black & White Chip Shop is one of the best chippies we can’t get enough. The Galleon Tea Room serves great food with balcony seating and you have to try the The Top Chippy!
